Woven baskets

The baskets are woven in villages in the suburbs of Hanoi. We sell a bread basket and an all purpose basket on this Website. They are woven from natural palm leaf fiber and are finished with blue and white ceramic handles.

Embroidered handbags

Women of Vietnam's H'mong tribe in Pha Xac Village, a commune in Huoi Tu in the Nghe An Province of Central Vietnam, skillfully create the embroidered handbags for sale on this site. To make the handbags, they use cotton of various colors (black, blue, yellow, red etc.) on which they appliqué and embroider patterns. Sometimes old French Indochinese coins are attached to the handbags. These handbags are authentic and no two are exactly alike. The income women earn supplements income earned from subsistence farming. Handicraft development and new markets are opening up new opportunities for income generation and for the preservation of H'mong traditional handicrafts.

Beaded handbags

The beaded handbags are crafted in the rural areas of Ha Tay, Ninh Binh and Hai Duong Provinces in northern Vietnam. Thousands of small beads are hand strung together to form elaborate floral, leaf, diamond or other patterns. Women craft the handbags in their individual homes and subsequently sell them to distributors in Hanoi City. For some women, the income earned is their sole source of income; for others it supplements income from subsistence farming.

Cards decorated with pressed flowers

The dried flower cards are crafted by women in the nationwide famous flower villages in suburbs of Hanoi. Fresh and undamaged flowers are cut each day in the afternoon and put to dry naturally in the sun. Flower petals are subsequently carefully selected, further dried, cut and pressed. With incredible patience and great creativity, women mount the petals on paper. The process of creating cards takes at least three days.
